Mark Twain National Forest

Ste. Genevieve County

News or Updates:
Hunting allowed here so please use caution.

From Farmington, take Hwy 32 east to Hwy OO.  Turn south and follow to Hwy T.  Turn east on Hwy T and drive to Bidwell Creek Road.  Follow it north to the Bidwell Creek Ford.

Miles of Trails:
12 mile loop.

Equestrian Camping:
Yes, there are a couple of spots along Bidwell Creek Road, and also primitive dispersed camping along the trail.

Trail Notes:
This trail is quite rocky, hilly, and steep in spots.  A favorite party spot for the local teens and college students, on the weekends.  There has been a lot of  abuse of the area.  The trail can get confusing because of the many illegally added trails, including some that lead to private property.  Do not cross Bidwell or Coldwater Creeks during high water.

Other Trail Users:
Hikers, mountain bike riders, and hunters.

Volunteers Helping With This Page:
No one at this time, available to adopt.  If interested, please contact us.

You can find much more information, including very detailed driving directions, GPS Coordinates, more detailed trail notes, trailer parking, facilities available, and so much more in our book.  Click on the book cover on the left to order.
